Defenders of Alodia
Defenders of Alodia is an American animated web series created by Naya Fae. It revolves around Rebecca Winstead and the people she meets along the way. The pilot, as of September 24, 2023, has been greenlit, and is currently being storyboarded.[1]
Premise
The series follows Rebecca Winstead, a 16-year-old girl who is coming to terms with the recent death of her mother, after being transported to the magical and wildly unpredictable world of Alodia with Archaic Energy. She travels west with Zaid, a ruthless and wanted mercenary wanting to prove herself, and Marvin, a defective Vex drone with a heart of gold, as she figures out a way to return home.[2] Throughout her journey, she has to avoid Barian and Barnaby, the second and third in command of Vex's army, who need to take her to Vex in order to get the secrets of her abilities.

Production
The show originally was conceived through different formats as early as 2010, according to Naya. In 2016, she fleshed it out into a full story on Wattpad known as "Rebecca Winstead and The Walking City" [3] On August 9, 2022, they officially launched their Kickstarter page to help fund the series, but didn't reach their goal of $45,000. But the show proceeded onwards, being officially greenlit on September 8, 2022. [4] On August 29, 2023, it was announced that storyboarding had begun.[1]
