Derick Chimebere (born 30 January, 1998) is a Nigerian entrepreneur and jeweler. [1][2] He is the founder and CEO of Diamondz Africa, a Nigerian jewelry company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.[3]

Early life[edit]

Chimebere was born on 30 January, 1998 in Lagos State, Nigeria but originally hails from South-eastern Nigeria, Awo-Omamma, Imo State. He spent most of his childhood in Lagos.[4]

Career[edit]

Chimebere's interest for making jewelries started when he was a young boy. As a result, he started to study about diamonds and other precious stones.[5] In 2020, he founded "Diamondz Africa",[6][7] a company that produces jewelries from gold and diamond.[8]

In September 2023, he won the 4-Star Award for best jewelry brand of the year. [9] He also emerged the winner of the Scream All Youths Award, 10th edition which was hosted by Jimi Coker. [10]
