About the Novel[edit]
In this novel, The Palestinian novelist "Rubai al-Madhoun" tells a story that adds a previously uncharacteristic horizon to the Palestinian narrative and can be described as a comprehensive Palestinian novel, At the same time, it deals with the tragedy of Palestine in all its aspects. The novel is in four sections, each representing one of the movements of the concerto and when the text reaches the fourth and final movement, the four tales begin to integrate around the questions of the Nakba, the Holocaust, and the right of return. It is the story of the indigenous Palestinians, inside the Green Line, who suffer the problem of separate existence and have found themselves with Israeli citizenship forcibly imposed on them. It is the story of Palestinians who migrated from their land to the big exile and then tried to return in individual ways to their occupied countries. It is the story of Palestine inside and outside.[7]
