Dilip C. Mandal is an Indian journalist who is best known for raising the voice of unheard people such as the SCs, STs, and OBCs. He was a visiting Professor at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. In December 2019, some students at the university claimed Mandal discriminated based on caste, which he denied. The students were expelled from the school.[1] He did his PhD from JNU in sociology.

He was born in a Yadav (अहीर) family.
Career
Dilip Mandal is the former managing editor of India Today Hindi Magazine of TV Today Network, and has authored books on media and sociology. He is a columnist at BBC Hindi and ThePrint.[2]
