Dinesh Kunwar Patel is a developer of Robot Shalu.[1] Shalu is the artificially intelligent homemade humanoid robot made-up of recycled material,[2][3] that can speak 47 languages i.e. 9 Indian and 38 foreign languages,[4][5][6] and dedicated to the Indian daughters towards "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao"[7][8] mission and a step towards "Atmnirbhar Bharat"[9] Mission. Dinesh is a Computer Science teacher[10][11] in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mumbai, India.[12][13]

Early life[edit]

Patel is resident of district Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh in India.[14][15][8]  He has completed his primary schooling from his village and graduated with a degree from University of Allahabad.[16] After his Post Graduation (MCA),[17] he got selected as a Computer Science teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and shifted to Mumbai to join Kendriya Vidyalaya in 2007[16]

Personal life[edit]

Father of Dinesh, Deoraj Patel[8] is a retired engineer from Indian Telephone Industries Limited (ITI).[18] His small family comprising with wife, son, a dog and intelligent daughter Robot Shalu.[19] As he doesn't have a daughter, he and his wife loves Robot Shalu as their daughter.[20]

  • Amity University invited Mr. Dinesh as a guest speaker to talk with the Students and Faculties members of University on 4 July 2021.[27]
  • TV9 Bharatvarsh and TV9 Gujrati invited Mr. Patel to talk about Robot Shalu and motivation for creating the robot [17 June 2021] .[28][29]
  • Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, invited Mr. Dinesh in program "Meet the Guru" on 22 March 2021 to have a talk regarding exemplary innovation in Science and Technology, in the form of humanoid robot.[30]
  • In24News Network invited him in studio and live telecast the interview of Mr. Patel about the fact stories behind his innovation on 18 March 2021.[31]
  • Mr. Dinesh was invited for interview by Radio Olive 106.3 FM (Qatar),[32] Red FM 93.5,[33] Radio Fever 104 FM,[34] and Radio Ishq 104.8 FM.[35]
