Dr. Jordan Sudberg is an American physiatrist and research scientist known for being the CEO and Medical Director of the healthcare facility Spine and Sports Rehabilitation in Islandia, New York.[1] He is a specialist in sports medicine and pain management.

Education[edit]

Dr. Jordan Sudberg earned a B.S. in psychology from Yeshiva University and an M.D. from St. George’s University.[2] He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital.[1][2]

Career[edit]

Prior to his position at Spine and Sports Rehabilitation, Sudberg worked as a medical information scientist at the Ortho-McNeil Neurologics Division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals.[2] He also worked as a research assistant in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center and as a research scientist at Harvard University’s Massachusetts General Hospital in the tissue engineering department.[1][2]He also worked as a research assistant in the exercise physiology lab at Columbia University’s Department of Cardiology.[1] His medical experience includes stints as a cardiology technician in the Department of Cardiology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital[2] and as a sports medicine and pain management expert at Herald Square Chiropractic and at United Wellness Medical PC in Flushing.[3][4] He is also a certified physical trainer, physiologist, and USTA tennis instructor.[1]

Dr. Jordan Sudberg is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the World Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonography, the American Council on Exercise, and the American Fitness and Aerobics Association.[1] He also serves as an AAPM&R-Medical Student Mentor, guiding people through the field of pain management and rehabilitation and their residency application process.[1] Dr. Jordan Sudberg’s research interests include regenerative medicine, peak performance, and elite fitness.[1]
