DreadXP[1] is an American video game publisher based in San Diego, California that specializes in publishing indie horror games. Originally founded in 2020 [2] by Ted Hentschke and Patrick Ewald of Epic Pictures Group. Originally formed as a way to provide work to developers who had recently found themselves in lock down due to the COVID-19 epidemic, DreadXP started out producing and publishing The Dread X Collection, a game comprised of multiple developers making small games to be packaged as a greater whole.

Following the success of The Dread X Collection, it was followed by the Dread X Collection 2 and 3 in 2020, and Dread X Collection: The Hunt in 2021. Finding success in these endeavors, DreadXP then shifted to releasing standalone, expanded versions of the games featured in the Dread X Collections. Starting in 2021, Spookware - a collection of microgames inspired by classic horror tropes, was released. In January of 2022, DreadXP released Sucker for Love to widespread acclaim [3] Currently, DreadXP is working on 3 more standalone games, as well as a fifth entry in its Dread X Collection series [4]. As of March 2022, DreadXP employs 10+ people.
