Early life and career[edit]
Valery Alekseevich Zaytsev was born on October 24, 2003, in Krasnodar Krai. As a child, he was fond of the work of Skrillex, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Ludacris, Xzibit, Dr. Dre and others. He began studying music at age 12, gaining experience in the FL Studio program for 4 years.
The song Close Eyes was written in January 2021, posted on February 1 on YouTube and VK. Six months later, the song went viral on SoundCloud and TikTok, and was the most popular in 2021 among gamers, based on statistics from music platforms.[3]
Collaborations[edit]
Dvrst is highly influential after his song Close Eyes helped popularize the genre of drift phonk. After his initial, Dvrst has collaborated with an array of other emerging artists.[2] Dvrst also gained popularity thanks to video clips for their compositions, which are distinguished by a large number of vintage materials, frames from a personal archive, raw footage, and fast frame changes. Some clips contain clippings from popular anime cartoons. The performer selects video accompaniment from the elements of popular culture that influenced him.
