Eugenie Carys de Silva (born June 16, 1998) was, in 2013, the youngest person to have graduated with a bachelor's degree in intelligence analysis with a 4.0 GPA (Summa Cum Laude) from the online American Military University, at the age of fourteen.[1] In April of 2014, she was named as one of the top thirty thinkers under thirty by the Pacific Standard magazine.[2]

De Silva earned the Virginia State Award from Johns Hopkins University when she was seven years old.[3]
De Silva began her high school studies at the age of nine and graduated at the age of eleven with a college preparatory high school diploma from the University of Missouri High School. [4] At eleven years old, Eugenie began her undergraduate studies at the online American Military University, and then began her graduate studies at Harvard University when she was thirteen years old. [4] In 2013, aged 14, de Silva was accepted onto a Harvard University Extension School course.[5]
At the age of fifteen, de Silva graduated with a Master's degree in Intelligence Studies from the American Military Univesity.[4] For this Master's degree, at fifteen, Eugenie developed a novel model for law enforcement and intelligence personnel to detect individual-level deception.[6]
At fifteen years old, Eugenie began a Ph.D. in Politics (Intelligence Studies - Denial and Deception) at the University of Leicester in England. [7]
Other work[edit]
De Silva has published two children's books and was the co-author of an educational textbook for college students titled "Multidisciplinary Research for College Students." [4] In 2014, Eugenie authored a chapter and co-authored another chapter for a case-study book in education which will be published before the end of 2014 by IGI Global Publishers. [4] Her latest book, "Don't Like School? Don't Go," will be published in the U.S. in 2014. [4]
At fifteen, de Silva also established an initiative titled, "Peace and Prosperity in Sri Lanka," under the auspices of the Virginia Research Institute. [4] Since the age of fifteen, de Silva has had her own blog in which she provides analyses of on-going events that are specifically related to intelligence, security, and counter-terrorism. [4]
Personal life[edit]
De Silva was born in Manchester, England, and raised by her father.[8] At the age of six, de Silva taught herself to play the piano by ear.[4] At thirteen years old, she was the assistant coach for an under-10 boys' soccer team for the American Youth Soccer Organization.[4]
De Silva is a student ambassador of the online American Military University.[5] She is a lifetime member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honor Society. [4] She also has presented and won eight first place awards for her oral presentations in psychology, history of science, physics and astronomy, behavioral sciences, psychology, computer science, and science and mathematics. [4]
