Ever Gotesco Malls Group of Companies, under the trade name Ever Gotesco Malls, is a shopping mall and retail operator in Metro Manila. It was incorporated in 1972 by Chinese Filipino entrepreneur Jose Go, whose main vision was to develop, conduct, operate and maintain affordable and accessible commercial shopping malls for the Filipino masses.[1] Its main competitors are Isetann, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, Walter Mart Malls, Ortigas Malls, Starmalls, Robinsons Malls, SM Supermalls and Ayala Malls. As Of 2024 the company is operating two malls as Ever Manilla Plaza was foreclosed by a bank in 2020

Ever Gotesco Is Founded In 1972 As The 5 Storey Ever Emporium Is Recto Avenue, Manila Which Became Very Successful. The Five Level Ever Emporium Is One Of The First Commercial Structure In The Country.[2] In 1975 The Company Expand To Caloocan Where The Second Ever Emporium Was Opened. In 1979 The Company Expand In Malabon Which Became The Third Known Ever Emporium (Later Became Ever Supermarket Concepcion).
In 1980s Jose Go Entered The Mall Business, And In 1988 Go Opened The First Ever Gotesco Mall In Caloocan The Ever Gotesco Grand Central Which Became The First Commercial Structure In The City Of Caloocan At That Time. The Grand Central Mall Gave Ever Gotesco Confidence To Open 5 More Ever Gotesco Center And Malls. In 1989 Ever Center Las Pinas Was Opened To The Public. After Ever Las Pinas In 1993 Ever Laguna Plaza Was Opened To The Public (Later Abandoned In 2003)
In 1989 Ever Gotesco leased a 15.9 Hectare Lot In Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. The Construction Started In February 1990. In June 1992 The New Mall Was Finished And Was Opened To The Public In July 1992 as Ever Emporium Batasan Hills, then in 1993 the emporium was closed and was redesign and expanded until june 1994 the redevelopment was finished and was reopened in September 27. 1994 as Ever Gotesco Commonwealth Center. The mall became the largest mall in the country at that time with the area being larger than Uniwide's Coastal Mall and Sm City North Edsa until the opening of festival alabang in 1998 and the opening of mall of asia and other larger malls along with the expansion of sm city north edsa in 2008.
In 1992 Ever Gotesco Bought A 6 Hectare Lot In Ortigas Avenue In The Boundary Of Pasig And Cainta. The Construction Of The New Mall Was Finished In July 1995 And Was Opened In The Public In October 26, 1995 as Ever Gotesco Ortigas Complex
In 1996 Ever Gotesco Expanded The Original Ever Emporium Which Became Ever Manila Plaza. Ever Gotesco Malls Became Fairly Famous At That Time. In 1988 Gotesco Investment Inc Was Founded (A Week After Grand Central Opened), In 1994 Ever Gotesco Resources And Holdings Was Founded (As Ever Commonwealth Was Opened), And In 1995 Gotesco Tyan Ming Inc Was Founded As The Third Company Founded By Ever Gotesco. (2 Weeks After Ortigas Complex Opened)
Unfortunately The 1997 Asian Financial Crisis Caught Jose Go Expanding His Business Very Aggressive, The Business Expand To A Multi Billion Business Using Borrowed Money. Jose Go's Orient Bank Leads To The Fall And Sharp Decline Of Ever Gotesco Malls.
In 1997 Ever Center Las Pinas Was Sold And Later Abandoned, In 2003 Ever Laguna Plaza Closed Its Doors To The Public Due To Bankruptcy Of The Company At That Time, In 2012 Ever Gotesco Grand Central Mall Was Caught On Fire Which Rage For 3 Days The Structure Of The Mall Was Demolished Which Became A Artificial Lake For Some Years. Until 2018 Ever Gotesco Sold The Property To SM Prime Holdings, And Became Sm City Grand Central Which Opened In November 2021, In 2015 Ever Gotesco Sold Ever Gotesco Ortigas Complex To Sm Prime Holdings As Well Which Closed In January 2016 And Opened As Sm City East Ortigas In December 2016, In 2020 Ever Manila Plaza Was Foreclosed By a Bank In 2020.
However in 2016 Ever Gotesco acquired a small plaza in dumaguete and became a mall in 2017 as Ever Mall Dumaguete.
In February 2021 a shootout between the Philippine National Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency occurred at a McDonald's by Ever Gotesco's Commonwealth Avenue branch, both parties claimed that they were conducting an anti-drug operation in the area.
Ever Supermarket Currently Has 52 Branches. Ever Gotesco is planning to build 2 malls around central luzon, 2 malls in visayas, 1 mall in mindanao and expand its current branch in commonwealth avenue and the renovation of the branch in dumaguete city
In 2021 The Ayala Corporation acquired the Ever Gotesco Group
In 2022 Ever-Gotesco Resources and Holdings (EGRH) was renamed into Everwoods Green Resources and Holdings Inc.
In 2023 Ever Gotesco Became full owner of the 15.9 hectare Ever Gotesco Mall Commonwealth Center after 29 years of being leased from the quezon city government.

Structure was demolished and for a time was an artificial lake. SM Prime Holdings acquired the property in 2018 and rebuilt the mall as SM City Grand Central (curiously retaining the Grand Central naming), that opened on November 26, 2021. | |
