ExtraEmily
Comment: Only thing changed since last decline was adding the word "being" and I don't believe this is notable enough for Wikipedia. All I could find with sufficient coverage was the subject running a red light and being banned from Twitch for a day or so. This article is more like a fandom page with the massive timeline of the subjects twitch streams. Ktkvtsh (talk) 02:37, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Please read the previous assessments. Add secondary, reliable and independent sources with in-depth coverage. Do check three best sources advice. It does not meet basic notability and appears to be too soon for an article. HilssaMansen19Irien1291S • spreading wiki love ~ Message here; no calls 21:57, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Dexerto, Sportskeeda, Metro, Forbes contributor sites are not considered reliable sources. Does not have enough significant coverage in secondary reliable sources to pass WP:NBIO at the moment. ~Liancetalk 22:17, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
Comment: Might be notable, but can you remove references to social media, streaming platforms, YT etc and only use the most reliable sources? BuySomeApples (talk) 23:39, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Comment: Please see WP:RS. References from independent and reliable sources are essential to establish notability per WP:GNG. Currently, most if not all presented sources are unreliable. Hitro talk 08:31, 10 August 2023 (UTC)

Emily Xuechun Zhang (born January 16, 1998), better known as ExtraEmily, is an American Twitch streamer and YouTuber. She is a member of One True King. Her content primarily focuses on IRL streaming[2].
ExtraEmily has gained recognition through her IRL streaming.[3][4] She was most nominated streamer at The Streamer Awards and won the "League Of Their Own" award[5]. Additionally, ExtraEmily was the first streamer to have an animated emote of herself "TwitchConHYPE" available on all of Twitch platform[6].
Early life
Emily Zhang was born on January 16, 1998 to Chinese parents, and spent her childhood living in Omaha, Nebraska.
In 2016, Emily was accepted into Financial Engineering at Columbia University in New York City joining the Tau Colony of the Asian-interest Kappa Phi Lambda sorority. Emily graduated magna cum laude and received the Outstanding Student Service Award in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research in 2020[7].
Twitch career
Emily created her Twitch account, "ExtraEmily" on April 20, 2020. She began livestreaming on Twitch on May 29, 2020, playing Wii Sports and other various Nintendo Wii video games. She gained minor popularity thanks to her friend and fellow Twitch streamer Nicro, who would often "raid" Emily's channel at the end of his broadcasts. In February 2020, Emily moved from Nebraska to New York City to help focus on streaming and work life. Emily's channel slowly grew throughout late 2020 and early 2021, and clips from her live-streams began to go viral on sites such as TikTok. She also did multiple 24-hour streams to help grow her channel, in which she would remain live and active on her channel for an entire consecutive day. Emily was officially partnered to Twitch through their Twitch Partner Program on March 23, 2021.
On April 12, 2022, Emily placed 2nd in One True King's "Schooled", a show loosely based on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?.
On April 26, 2022, Emily was invited to the season finale of "Schooled" as multiple competitors had called in sick. ExtraEmily placed 2nd again, but as the shows victor was exposed for cheating, she was eventually crowned the winner[8]. Following her victory she was awarded $50,000, and was invited to visit Mizkif along with all members of One True King in Austin, Texas[9].
On June 20, 2022, Emily announced that she had been fired from her banking job in New York City and was officially becoming a full-time Twitch streamer[1].
On January 31, 2023, Emily was announced as the newest member of One True King[10].
On April 9, 2023, Emily did her take on the subathon trend, as she taped herself to a wall for a little over 10 hours straight while having viewers donate and subscribe to have her friends throw water balloons and various objects at her[11].
On May 14, 2023, Emily had the police called on her while recreating a Jackass stunt "Urban Kayak" as she went kayaking in a skatepark[3][12][13].
On June 10, 2023, One True King launched independent video game and publishing company "Mad Mushroom" with Emily as part of being one of the co-owners for the company.[14]
On October 20, 2023, during TwitchCon, Emily won a popular vote to become the official emote of the event. This made ExtraEmily the first person ever to have an animated emote available across all of Twitch. The emote depicts a scene from one of ExtraEmily's earlier streams, in which she buried herself inside a trash bin using mulch until only her head was sticking out[15][16]
On January 4, 2024, Emily had a viral incident when cooking steak in an Outback Steakhouse parking lot as part of an "IRL challenge", in which a bystander assumed she was cooking crack cocaine[4][17][18]
On January 16, 2024, Emily did another internet challenge, as she drank an entire gallon of water only using a fork over the course of 7 hours[19]
On February 5, 2024, Emily and One True King co-owner Emiru announced an IRL show together called "Always On (Connected By AT&T)", a show sponsored by AT&T, which will have the two content creators attend various events across the year, while test out and showcasing the capabilities of AT&T's cellular network[20][21]
On Feburary 17, 2024, Emily co-hosted the red carpet event at the yearly The Streamer Awards, with fellow streamers CDawgVA and Will Neff. At the event ExtraEmily was nominated for total of 6 awards (3 individual awards, 1 organizational award and 2 collaborative awards), the most of anyone at the event[22][5]
On April 29, 2025, Emily set up a hot dog stand in Austin, Texas, passing out free food to folks walking by during her IRL stream. A few hours into the stream, a few police officers arrived and said somebody had called the station claiming a threat to her safety. After a quick, quiet talk with the cops off-camera, she got back to streaming and told her fans everything was all good. She made it clear there weren’t any ongoing problems, and the officers were just making sure she was okay and to relocate.[23]
On May 25, 2025, Emily received 7th place on the list for most viewed streamers at Kai Cenat's "Streamer University" event. Out of the 137 content creators who participated, she finished at 42 hours and 1.02M views. She was recognized for her efforts and took home the certificate for “Engagement Guru” at the closing ceremony.[24]
On August 20, 2025, Emily was the captain of Team Emily in "Streamer Games" hosted by Ludwig Ahgren. After the two-day competition, her team finished first, being crowned the champions of the event.[25]
