The Fayetteville Chutes are an amateur baseball team playing in the Old North State League, an NCAA-sanctioned collegiate summer baseball league. The team plays its home games at JP Riddle Stadium in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Chutes are one of the original teams left from the ONSL's inaugural season and began as the Carolina Coyetes. The Carolina Coyotes began using J. P. Riddle Stadium for the 2020 season, allowing only 25 spectators per game due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1] For the 2021 season, the team is being renamed the Fayetteville Chutes.[2][3][4] The Chutes have made the You Can Go Home Now Cup every year.[citation needed]
