Former provincial symbols of East Bengal (Pakistan)
The Former Provincial Regionalist Symbols of the then Province of East Pakistani Republic were the official and unofficial flags, icons or cultural expressions that were emblematic, representative or otherwise characteristic of the then former Pakistani citizens of Bengalese and of its Homogeneous culture. Among the additional objects which were considered to be symbols of the Bangla nation, is the Shapla. Often pink, and white (due to stems and leaves), these flowers displayed the primary aquatic colours of the present-Bangladeshi flags. Jackfruits, fish, Mango trees, and the Tiger were also widely accepted as symbols for the East Pakistani, now Nationalised by Bangladeshis since 1972 respectively.
