Frazer Consultants is a technology company headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin, that provides technology solutions and personalization tools for funeral homes.
The company's president, Matt Frazer, started the company in 2003 as a small, family-owned business selling tribute candles and other personalized tribute products to funeral homes. Today, still a family-owned business, Frazer Consultants is a leading partner to funeral homes with its array of funeral solutions.
History
Early History
Matt Frazer began his career in the funeral profession at age 15, selling funeral home management software. In 1999, he started selling personalized tribute candles door-to-door to funeral homes. Then, in 2003, he established Frazer Consultants in Waunakee, Wisconsin.
2003 to Present
Since its founding in 2003, Frazer Consultants has grown to specialize not only in memorial products, but also in funeral home websites, personalization tools, and other funeral technology solutions. In 2006, the company launched its first tribute video software, called Video Assistant.
On August 16, 2007, Frazer Consultants sold its first holiday tribute ornament. [1] At the end of 2007, its first printing software, Easy Print, was introduced, primarily for tribute candles. In 2009, the company launched Tribute Center, its print-on-demand funeral stationery product, offering extensive themes, images, and personalization options. [2]
Frazer Consultants also began developing funeral home websites in 2009, which became a core offering in 2014. In September 2015, the company launched mobile-friendly websites.
In March 2016, its funeral payment platform, Tribute Pay, launched, allowing families to pay funeral bills directly on Frazer websites using major credit cards. In May 2016, Tribute Crowdfunding was added to Tribute Pay, enabling families to raise funds directly from a loved one's obituary. In June 2017, the company launched Tribute Loans, allowing families to apply for funeral financing through a funeral home's website. [3] Frazer Consultants is currently developing Tribute Assignments, designed to streamline the application of life insurance policies for funeral payments.
During 2016, Frazer Consultants received several awards and accolades. Its digital registry book, Tribute eGuest, was a finalist for the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Innovation Award. [4] The company also received an honorable mention for Tribute eGuest in the "Keeping it Personal" category from the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA). [5] In August 2016, the company received recognition for its funeral home technology solutions in an article published by In Business Madison. [6] In 2016, Frazer Consultants was named Madison Magazine's Best Place to Work for small businesses with 10 to 50 employees. [7] The company was praised for its open, high-tech workspace, good communication, and generous employee benefits. [8]
Company Location
In May 2006, Frazer Consultants moved into its current Waunakee warehouse. A separate Waunakee office was established in November 2012. In September 2015, the company relocated its office to its current Middleton Parmenter Center location. Construction on Parmenter Center began in 2014, and the building now houses multiple businesses, including Frazer Consultants. [9]
