Gavin Noel Methalaka (born 14 January 1986) known professionally as CHubBy, is an Indian actor, improviser, comedian and voice actor from Goa.
He is known for his works in television, Hindi cinema, and stage.
He plays David Brown in the musical adaptation of Disco Dancer, directed by Rajeev Goswami and produced by Saregama which premiered in Sadler's Wells Theatre, London in 2022.[1] [2]

Gavin was born in 1986, in Bombay (now Mumbai) to Shashidhara Methalaka from Mangalore and Alvarinha Rodrigues from Goa, and grew up in Muscat, Oman. He received his school education from Indian School Muscat and British School Muscat. He was raised catholic.
Professional career[edit]
After moving back to Goa in 2006, his interest in acting took him towards studying performing arts with Kala Academy Goa and later continued his acting training under the tutelage of Satyadev Dubey. He was a part of Dubey's final directorial film, which had noted cinematographer, Govind Nihalani, behind the camera.
He booked his first ad film with Prahlad Kakkar for Deep Fruit Juice in 2009. His first film with debut with a small role in Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti[3] 2015. He hosted a Comedy Cricket show called Cheeky Singles for Star Sports (Indian TV network) with co-host Sanjana Ganesan in the same year.
On-screen he is known for playing Kutti in The Office (Indian TV series)[4] 2019, Gary in Ray (TV series)[5] 2021, and George Masih in Karm Yuddh (Indian TV series) 2022.
In 2013, he trained in improvisational comedy with Improv Comedy Mumbai[6] and toured the US West Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles in 2017 as a featured cast member. He started Mischief In Action[7] an improv troupe with Naveen Kaushik and Jahnavi Dave in 2018.
He directed Sunn Toh (Hear Me Out), his first short film in 2023. The film is about the failure of Communication and the plight of men's ability to articulate in a challenging situation. The film was partially crowdfunded. It is currently[when?] doing the rounds of Film Festivals around the world.
