Gellu Srinivas yadav
Gellu Srinvas Yadav is student leader of Osmania University[TRSV]. He hail from a rural village Himmathnagar and born in backword caste of yadava community. His father is Gellu mallaiah,small scale agriculturist. He was actively engaged with rural politics and played active role in Telugu Desam Party at mondal level since 1985. He is also actively engaged in mobilising the yadav community at District level and worked as District vice President (Akhila Bharatha Yadava Mahasabha) from 2000-2005.He worked as MPTC, kondapaka from 2001-2005. He has been actively involving in TRS party mandal level from 2004 to till now.presently he is vice President, TRS party, veenavanka mandal. And also he is working as director (elected), District Shepherd's Co Operative Society, under animal husbandry department Govt of AP. Presently His mother Gellu Laxmi working as village sarpanch, supported by TRS Party.
ROLE IN TELANGANA MOVEMENT
- He actively engaged in student politics since his Under Graduation (B.A) studies. He has been actively participated in National Service Scheme(NSS) Programs. He was started to social speech at Intermediate college programs and achieved Best Speech award. He completed UG from the residence of Govt.B.C Hostel, Amberpet, Hyderabad, during the time He was elected as President, Govt.B.C. Hostel, amberpet (2003-2006) and fought on the problems of BC Students. While pursuing Graduation in AV College, He was attracted to the Telangana movement lead by Sri.KCR Sir, whose thought provoking speeches made him to become active member and played active role till date with the TRS Party with the same enthusiasm and loyalty.

- 2003-2006 TRSV President at A.V college, Hyderabad, lead massive student agitation against the fee hike and he was arrested and finally got succeeded in reimbursement of the fees by the management.
- He is basically cool and motivate the students to dream big and work towards. He usually helps poor students to study and communicate the institutions to help the students.
- :He also participated in padayatra along with Sri K.T.R( K.T.Rama Rao) Rangareddy to Kukatpally motivate people from Andhra leadership and Telangana deveopment.
- 2003-2004 academic year organized many massive dharma programs, at indira park against the Ex.C.M Chandra Babu Naidu, about fee Reimbursement for Backword students.
- 2004 December organized a darna, Finance Minister Rosaiah Home muttadi for increase of scholarship amount and fee Reimbursement for the students and arrested by police.
- 2006-2007 he worked as President TRSV, Telugu University, Hyderabad.
- 2006, on 19 September, participated in a protest rally organized by trsv ou students against Mr. Lagadapati Rajagopal at Press club, Somajiguda and arrested by police.
- From 2003 to till date, in his active participation in the Telangana movement, about 120 police cases were booked, arrested by police many times and 2 time's went to jail he spended 36 days in Charlapally and Chanchalguda jails.

- In 2009 he put up his whole efforts to mobilize the student's of Osmania University in protest the Sri KCR's arrest and started a big agitation to introduce Telangana bill in the parliament.
- January 18, 2010,launched 'Telangana Vidyarthi Maha Padayatra' from Osmania to Kakatiya University in North Telangana, covering about 650 km to motivate young students and Succeeded to involve thousands of students in the agitation of Telangana.
- 2010 in charge Bus Yatra (Praja Chitanya Yatra), Huzurabad Consteuency during the by poll elections.
- 2011, March 1, participated with hundreds of students during the "Rail Rokho" 48 hours program at Moula-Ali railway station under the leadership of Sri.KTR.
- 2011, March 10 as President TRSV OU committee organized a huge rally to participate in Historical "Million March Programme" as a part of the call given by TSJAC.
- 2011,1 November lead a huge rally with hundreds of students from Arts college to Gun Park in protest against the AP formation Day, as a part of 'Chalo Gun Park' the program lead as President TRSV OU committee organized.

- 2012,6 January at Morning 6'o clock as a part of protest against Chandra Babu Naidu's Warangal Yatra leaded by Gellu Srinu along with hundreds of students of OU and pelted stones on his convey at Flyover Bridge and arrested during his visit to Palakurty Sabah (Warangal) and Imprisoned in 20days in Charlapally Jail. He got released from jail With the initiation taken by Sri.K.T.Rama Rao
- 2012, March, as students in charge, worked under Sri.Koppula Eswar,MLA for Kollapur byelection for Sri.Jupally Krishna Rao
- He has been representing social,economic, personal graviencies of students to UGC and other National Committee's for the past 6years.
- He participated with Sri Balka Suman as TRSV president for Medical College fees against AP Govt
- December 2013 filed a PIL(Public Interest Litigation), before the Hon'ble AP High Court, seeking for the appointment of full-time Chairman and filling up of posts in NCRI(National Council of Rural Institutions ), Under the ministry of HRD, Govt.of India located in Hyd. In this connection the Hon'ble High Court has given Orders to Secretary, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India to appear in person before the Court and implement orders.[1]
