Gender Alliance is an initiative to bring together civil societies, activists, academicians, researchers, media, and others on a common platform to advocate gender equality.[1]

Initiated as a project to advance the rights of women and girls in 2016, and GA became independent registered body in 2018.

Gender Alliance’s Bandhan Tod strategy having a purposely crafted mobile application and a unique compendium with estimations of child marriage at sub-district[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] is helping government in taking the issue of child marriage and dowry at the grass root level and has successfully expanded its intervention on elimination and prevention of Sexual assaults and Sexual harassment through Chuppi Tod (Break Your Silence) strategy, receiving appreciation and acknowledgement at many countries .

Gender Alliance gives Bandhan Tod award for journalism for mainstreaming gender in media and awarded adolescent girls with Bandhan Tod champion title to recognise their brave role in the fight against child marriage.
