Hanadi Elyan (Arabic: هنادي عليان‎) is a Jordanian director and writer.[1][2][3][4][5] She is best known for her work on the short films Mariam's Chance and Nadia's Visa.[6][7]

Life and career[edit]

Elyan was born and raised in Dubai, UAE. Her debut short film Mariam's Chance, won Special Jury award at Tangier International Film Festival.[citation needed] In 2015, She moved to Los Angeles after being selected for a scholarship to obtain a MFA in Film Directing at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.[8][9]

Elyan earned a development award from the Jordan Film Fund as part of the Royal Film Commission for The Camp Beauty Queen script.[10]
