Harinarayanachari Mishra is a Madhya Pradesh Cadre, 2003 batch IPS officer.[1] He is currently posted as Superintendent of Police, Jabalpur , India.[2][3] He is graduated from BHU, Varanasi. Earlier he served as SDOP, Mhow, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Indore, ADC to Governor of M.P, Superintendent of Police, Balaghat, Khandwa.[4] During his tenure as SP Balaghat, he effectively dealt with the problem of Naxal extremism.[5] In the operation, a large number of extremists were arrested and the situation as brought under control.[6] As S.P. Khandwa, he conceptualized the formation of the village protection committee.Due to his efforts, an improvement in communal harmony of city was recorded. In Jabalpur he solved many critical criminal cases.[7][8] In jabalpur he started the "SANJIWANI" for helping the suicide help line.[9][10] It's one of the first experiment of its kind.[11] Since, Jabalpur is the highest suicide rate in India. The SANJIWANI is successfully helping the cases related to depression of common people.[12] He is the recipient of Durgam Seva Padak , 2010, awarded for his work in Naxal affected area and Antarik Surakhsha Padak, 2010, for counter insurgency operation by the government of Madhya Pradesh and Indira Gandhi Sampradiyakta Sauhard Puraskar, 2013[13] given by Government of Madhya Pradesh.
