Hasim Rahman Jr. vs Vítor Belfort, billed as MF & DAZN: X Series 002, is an upcoming professional crossover boxing match contested between American professional boxer Hasim Rahman Jr. and Brazilian mixed martial artist Vitor Belfort. The bout is scheduled to take place on 15 October 2022 at Sheffield Arena, Sheffield, England.[1]
Background[edit]
In August 2022, Hasim Rahman Jr. was scheduled to fight Jake Paul at Madison Square Garden on 6 August.[2] The fight was cancelled as Rahman Jr. weighed 216 pounds a week prior to the bout.[3] Rahman Jr. continually called out Paul as scared since on 5 August, Rahman Jr. decided to weigh himself and came in at 206 pounds, which was 1 pounds over the agreed weight limit.[4]
On 27 August 2022 during the KSI vs Swarmz and KSI vs Luis Alcaraz Pineda bouts, it was announced that Hasim Rahman Jr. and Vitor Belfort will be headlining the second Misfits Boxing on 15 October at Sheffield Arena, Sheffield, England.[1] The bout will be available globally via DAZN streaming. YouTubers Jay Swingler and Cherdleys were announced as the co-feature bout.[5]
