HispanicBusiness Inc. was a media company based in Goleta, California, in the United States of America. The firm was founded by Jesús Chavarría in 1979, and published business and political news stories oriented toward Hispanic professionals and entrepreneurs.[1]

The company switched to an exclusively online publishing platform in May 2012.

HispanicBusiness is no longer publishing and closed up shop in October 2014.

Publications[edit]

HispanicBusiness operated a pair of websites, HispanicBusiness.com and HireDiversity.com, and a research division called HispanTelligence.[2]

HispanicBusiness.com focused on growth in the U.S. Hispanic market, economic trends, diversity and philanthropy, supply-chain development, best business practices and career development opportunities.[3]

HispanicBusiness' branded content included the HispanicBusiness 500,[4] the HispanicBusiness Influentials and the HispanicBusiness Fastest-Growing 100. The company also published directories of top Hispanic corporate officers and the country's best graduate programs for Hispanics.

HispanTelligence and its CEO Capital Markets Roundtable offered two awards, the Hispanic Business magazine EOY Awards and the Hispanic Business Woman of the Year (WOY) Awards.

The company's former flagship publication, HispanicBusiness magazine, had a circulation of about 265,000 and a projected readership of one million. HispanicBusiness issued its last print edition in April 2012.
