From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Holhuashi are small Maldivian resting places usually found only in the Maldives. These small beach huts can be found near beaches or harbours.[1] They are built specifically for people to enjoy the cool ocean breeze while having a chat. Some of the older people spend the night sleeping in them. Holhu-ashi come in many forms. Some are built like huts while others are more like gazebos. More traditional variants are made out of coconut palm trunks stuck together with coir. Many people like to hang out in these places and have a chat or to play chess or a game of cards.
