Hubhopper is a content aggregator and content publishing platform based in Delhi, India.[1] The firm describes itself as 'a content delivery platform.'[2] It provides content from multiple sources, based on interests that users choose. The app is available on the web, iOS and Android. The app become the most downloaded app on the App Store (iOS) in July 2017 and rated the #33rd best Social app on the Google Play (store).[3][4]

In 2015, Hubhopper was founded by Gautam Raj Anand, an former risk analyst at Barclays. The company received an undisclosed amount in an angel funding round,[5] led by Surendra Daulet Singh, MD of GKR, and Daulet Singh, former CEO, British Bank of the Middle East (HSBC Group) in December 2015.[6][7] The platform raised three rounds of angel funding for a total amount of $310K (₹ 2 crore).[8]

Overview[edit]

Hubhopper pushes content to its app as per user’s interests,[1][9] consisting of news and other updates including audio, video or text in bite-sized summaries of less than sixty words. The application has features like commenting, loving, favorites and pinning.[10]

Hubhopper allows the content creators to publish their content and reach out to the right consumers. It is the platform that connects the publisher and the consumer.[8][11]
