The company was founded in 1989 and was recognized between 2000 and 2010 as one of the largest accounting technology firms in the United States.[1] I.B.I.S. provides complete enterprise business solutions for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business Intelligence, and Application Development. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the company has 97 employees and additional office locations in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tampa, Florida.

In 2015 the firm was acquired by Sonata Software for a total sum of $14M.[2]
