Introduction[edit]
Illuminating through Literacy Movement Society (ILM Society) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) providing free ILM Scholarships[1] to deserving students so they can continue their education despite of their financial difficulties. More than 350 Students are studying in different schools under ILM Scholarships. 3 Campuses of ILM are operating in remote areas of Karachi named as "ILM School Network"[2] providing quality education to more than 500 Students in Pakistan. The goal is to provide Quality Education to every child in the country.
Origin[edit]
According to a survery, 27 Million Children in Pakistan are out of school. Out of the population of 164,741,924 only 82,206,220 people are educated in Pakistan and 24%[3] of the population are below the poverty line.
Like other developing countries of the world Pakistan also faces the issues of population explosion, poverty, unemployment, income disparity and low literacy rate. In 1995, six successful top-level managers of Pakistan attempted to find a way to solve these problems, and the root cause identified by them was education. Within a few months an organization named ILM Society was formed in Karachi. ILM was founded in 2010[4] with the objective of supporting the education necessities of deprived children in Pakistan.

Mission[edit]
ILM's mission is to provide all children with a high quality education that enables them to be contributing members of society.
Quality Education Programme[edit]
ILM Society[5] gives high priority to transparency.[6] All applications are discussed and approved at the Board meeting after assessing the eligibility of applicants, further periodic progress reports are obtained and reviewed by the Board to ensure that scholarships are awarded to right candidates.
Records of receipts and expenditures are made available to donors at their request, where every member can view his contribution history and utilization thereof on respective students. Students’ performance is monitored on regular basis and annual progress reports are provided to donors. All administrative expenses are borne by the trustees hence ensuring that every penny of your donation[7] is spent on beneficiary students.
ILM School Network[edit]
ILM Society is operating three campuses of ILM School Network to provide globally recognized standard of education to children in reasonable cost. Currently it haas three campuses where 500 students obtaining a quality education. Furthermore, industrial home, technical training centers, coaching, career counselling and linguistic training centers are also the part of their mission and future plans.[8]
