To give a freedom to passengers from conventional food. Passengers can book food of their choice from vendors like Dominos to Halidram at any station of there choice. Food is delivered at the seat . This project is running at very good pace.
More then 500+ Vendors have registered to work with the IRCTC ecatering.An excellent list of restaurants to choose your favorite meal from.
In the summer seasons the "ratnagiri mongoes" will also be available in the meals chart.From a simple combo of daal, roti, and chawal to Mughlai biryani and delicious pizzas, passengers can exercise their freedom and delve into yummy food in Indian railways.
How to order Food[edit]
The platform developed by the IRCTC to prvide ecateriung services is very userfreindly. By Following the few easy steps one can order the food of his choice. 1.To book the meal you need to visit the (ecatering) website or from the ([1] )Android app. 2.Enter the PNR no. in the dialog box. 3.After verification of the PNR, the new page containing the list of stations will be displayed. 4.Selecting the station, will display the list of available vendors 5.On Vendor selection, the variety of meals will be available waiting to be added into the cart.
Mode Of Payment[edit]
To provide the ease to the passenger, the ecatering has both the options of cash on delivery as well the online payment mode.
Food Undelivered[edit]
In case if some vendor are unable to deliver the food to a passenger ,automatically within 3-4 days span the refund will be generated in case of the online payment. The chances are very nil for undelivered cases.
