Controversies

Sannie was one of the casualties when Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Number 12 investigative documentary shook the football fraternity in Ghana in 2018.[9] He was accused, along with his colleague Kwesi Nyantakyi, by Anas and his organization, Tiger Eye PI, of taking a bribe to influence player selection in the Ghana national team, Black Stars.[10]

He dismissed the allegations of corruption in the documentary, describing the claims as a "pack of lies."[11] [12]In 2020, Sannie filed a GHS 20 million defamation suit at the Human Rights Court in Accra against Anas and his investigation body for alleging that he took a bribe to influence player selection. [13]In 2022, the Ghana Football Association Ethics Committee dismissed Sannie Daara of corruption and bribery allegations, concluding that there was insufficient evidence to support the claims of acts of bribery and corruption on the part of the ex-communications director.
