If I Fall Back Down - A Punk Rock Memoir is a 2013 novel by Raven Taylor. The book was first published on on October 22, 2013 through New Haven Publishing and follows the volatile relationship between punk rocker Tobias Grave and his teenage wife Morven Strike.

Plot[edit]

The book follows Tobias "Tobi" Grave, lead singer of the punk rock group The Radicals, as he travels to Edinburgh to attend a performance of a local band, The Duckworths. While there he meets Morven Strike, a teenage girl that he instantly connects with. She leaves her family and home behind in order to travel with Tobi and his band throughout the world. As the story progresses we see more of Tobi's troubled past and how it contrasts with Morven's seemingly idyllic life. This stark difference between their lifestyles causes issues between the couple and Morven starts to perform on the streets, eventually forming her own band. It's when she starts taking up with Goldie, a racist neo-nazi skinhead, that things start taking a new turn for the worst.

Reception[edit]

Punk Globe gave a positive review for the book and suggested that "this book would make a great film, which would sit alongside something like "This Is England," but for the modern punk generation.[1]
