Institute of Cooperative Management Dehradun, was established in the year 1954-55 by the Agriculture Credit Department of Reserve Bank of India..[1]. Its is managed by the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT)[2], New Delhi, under the Ministry of Co-operation, Govt. of India.[3]

In 1965, the Institute of Cooperative Management, Dehradun[4] began operations in the district of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It later moved to 6, Old Mussoorie Road, Rajpur, Dehradun[5].
The institute was established to meet the training and consulting requirements of Uttar Pradesh's cooperative organisations. Later, in November 2000, the institute was given the responsibility of conducting research, offering consulting services, and training for the cooperatives of the newly established state of Uttaranchal (now renamed as Uttarakhand).
The Institute of Cooperative Management, Dehradun[6], was founded by the Agriculture Credit Department of the Reserve Bank of India in the years 1954–1955[7]. It is one of 20 residential Institutes of Cooperative Management across the nation[8] that are overseen and managed by the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT[9]), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Co-operation, Government of India. With a focus on the professional requirements of the cooperative personnel, NCCT, New Delhi [10]is the central organisation for the overall planning, monitoring, and implementation of various training programmes for the staff of the Cooperative Department/Cooperative Institutions and other allied institutions of the state.

Institute of Cooperative Management Dehradun[11] is conducting full-time MBA and BBA Programs affiliated from Uttarakhand Technical University[12] and Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University.
