Its core business activities comprise SAP consulting, development and system integration, licensing as well as outsourcing and other services (including hosting services).

History[edit]

itelligence AG was founded in Bielefeld in 1989 by Herbert Vogel and Wolfgang Schmidt under the name S&P Consult.[2] The enterprise focused on SAP consulting. Four years later, namely in July 1993, the company changed its name to Schmidt Vogel and Partner (SVP).[2] In 1995, SVP was awarded certification as an SAP R/3 system house operating at multinational level and was accepted into SAP’s circle of value-added resellers (VARs).[2]

In 1999, the corporate organization was changed to a public limited company and listed on the stock exchange in Frankfurt, Germany.[3] The merger with APCON AG in 2000 resulted in the creation of itelligence AG.[4] After its initial public offering, the enterprise extended its portfolio and became an international SAP full-service provider in 2003.[5] In October 2007, itelligence AG announced its partnership with NTT DATA Europe GmbH & Co. KG and supported its takeover bid.[6] After the term of acceptance had ended, NTT Data Europe owned more than 75% of itelligence shares.[6]

Today, itelligence AG is one of SAP global services, global hosting and global application management services partners with distribution agreements at local level as well. [7] The company achieved SAP Accreditation for Active Quality Management in January 2011.[8] Nowadays, itelligence AG is an SAP Special Expertise Partner for 13 applications and services including SAP Business Process Management, SAP ERP Financials and SAP NetWeaver ID Management.[1]

itelligence AG has also won numerous prizes, including both the Pinnacle Award [9] and the Lotus Award.[10]
