Jeffrey D. Gordon founded the company in 2002 as J.D. Gordon Advertising. In 2012, the company was renamed as J.D. Gordon Creative Labs to shift their focus on both traditional and digital design.[3] Past pro bono work has included designs for the Sioux City Art Center,[4] Sioux City Community Theater,[5] and Fridays on the Promenade.[5] J.D. Gordon Creative Lab's logo designs were featured in four different Logo Lounge publications including their books on animals and mythology,[6] type and calligraphy,[7] shapes and symbols,[8] and international identities.[9]
