Sharif Said Juma (born June 12, 1997), Stage name as Jay Melody, is a Tanzanian Singer and Songwriter who hails from Dar es salaam, Tanzania.[1] He is signed by Epic Records in Tanzania and Best known for songs like “Sugar” and “Nakupenda”.[2][3]
Early life
Jay was born on June 12, 1997, at the Mwananyamala Hospital Dar es salaam Tanzania and he is the last born of his parents.[4]
Jay Melody grew up in one of the most commercial cities of Tanzania. The Dar es Salaam native first discovered his passion for music when he was at primary school.
Career
Born and raised in Dar es salaam pave the way to his music career that begun to bud at his very young age while in primary and secondary school. His first debut in music was in 2016 when he got the chance to join Tanzania house of talents (THT) where he attended classes that sharpen his music career and skills to master the music business.
