John Baptist Imokola

Imokola Baptist John, is a Ugandan teaching assistant who serves as a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University, the largest public university of Uganda.[1] Formerly served as a news anchor on NBS TV[2]
Background and education[edit]
He was born in Busia District, Uganda in the Eastern Region of the country.[2] He attended Busoga College Mwiri for both his O-Level and A-Level education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Journalism, both from Makerere University as well is a PhD fellow from College of Humanities and Social Sciences.[3][1]
Career[edit]
Imakola was a Lecturer of Journalism since 2008 teaching at International Institute of Business and Media Studies, Nkumba University and Muteesa 1 Royal University. He has served in various positions such as a News Editor, News Producer with several local televisions stations including Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, WBS TV,[4] NBS TV and with occasional contributions to International networks.[5][6] He started working at Makerere University in 2012 as a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication[3]
Other considerations[edit]
He serves as a consultant in broadcast Journalism and Communication. He is involved in research work with interests in Journalism practice and Media management.[3][7]
