Jourdon Brothern (Born August 27, 2009), is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from Mississippi. He also goes by different names such as JBeezy, JayZay, and NFL Dumbo, with NFL (Never Forget Loyalty), being his original label before 110 Ent. He is one of the most consistent artists of the Underground Hip Hop scene and is mainly known for his work with Zaybeezy, his co-producer NFL BayBeezy, M2kk, and Lil Murky. He is mostly noted for his flow and use of wordplay.

Early life

Jourdon was born and raised in a small city called Brookhaven, Mississippi in the southern part of Jackson, Mississippi. His mother, uncle, and grandmother raised him and his sister, since his father left the family before he was born. At the age of 7, Jourdon tried to start making YouTube videos with toy plushes off his grandmother’s phone, starting off as a hobby and eventually Jourdon quit making videos to start making music. He wasn't just a normal innocent child, while at the age of 9, he began to dislike his original voice, which encouraged him to start using AutoTune in his songs.

Career

2017-2019: Career beginnings & Lil ReLoaded

Jourdan began his career with the release of his first single Cable under the alias JBot in December 2016, produced by Laykx. Later in July 2017, he released his first independent EP, King of The City, which got reposted by RiceGum on Twitter, and eventually accumulated 14k streams. He followed that with an independent mixtape titled Still King in October 2017. He began to stop working on music and go back to YouTube videos for almost 2 years. He began to drop again in 2019 under the new alias, Lil ReLoaded, the name was inspired by Lil Loaded. Jourdan then dropped another independent EP 'Changes' in October 2019. In December of that year, he got reposted by Lil Loaded and the EP gained over 13k streams.

2020-2021: AI WRLD, KINGZ, and other projects

In April 2020, Jourdon stated he was going to focus more on melodic music and started to drop less consistently. He then switched from the alias Lil ReLoaded to Jourdan Brothern. Later in June, he dropped his first album KINGZ, featuring Kevin Hues, SKDewy, and DP (DP3X). Following that with another independent EP, Section 14, which contained his popular songs Psycho, & Just a Freestyle LOL. That same year, Jourdon dropped 4 more albums (AI WRLD, SKYVIBIN (AI WRLD Deluxe), Kool-Aid, KINGZ (Deluxe)), which accumulated attention on TikTok with a couple of dance videos to his CHOPPA BIGGG Remix, Lemonade, & Cartoon and gained over 80k streams combined.

In January 2021, he dropped 2 albums on the same day (KINGZ 2.0 & DEADLY), which began his friendship with NFL BayBeezy on the song POSTED WITH MY BROTHAS, while he went under the alias Smokey. Jourdan won in a competition in the underground’s favorite album of 2021 for AI WRLD in February, which had him gaining popularity for a while. He followed that up with his mixtape Fye. Go!!, which was his highest paying release. He followed that with 2 more albums such as PIXELATED CARTI & YOU MISSED!, which was his biggest release yet, accumulating a 42 Dugg cosign. He started to rise again in September with a collaboration track with M2kk titled 379/110, accumulating 100k streams in total.

2022: The Sentinal, JBeezy VS Da World, and Childhood Hate

In December, Jourdan took down most of his songs from every platform to start a new journey on music. He began on his new Spotify with the release of his long-awaited mixtape JBeezy: The Mixtape, co-produced by RicoRunDat and featured Killa Stylez, Mellyx, & M2kk in February 2022. He began to rise to popularity again with the release of his debut album THE SENTINAL in March. The album began to gain attention from Destroy Lonely before he started to gain traction. He followed that album with the release of his Will Smith sampled single Idgaf. He followed this up with a couple of singles (RACKZ, Dumb 5, Dumb 6 (V8 Smash) and REALEST), and EP's, Redzone and 2 Gëeked, and his single ROCKIN, which was on his highly anticipated mixtape JBeezy VS Da World, inspired by Lil Uzi's Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World and YoungBoy's Colors in June. The Wednesday after, he dropped 2 songs that were co-prod by 110 Ent artist that passed away, Lil Tay-Z (Anxiety and I Ain't Stupid). Later on July 1 he dropped Lil Sonny featuring Lil Murky, which accumulated more popularity for Jourdan, boosting him up to a rank he wasn't at before and giving him over 7 thousand Spotify monthly listeners. Jourdan then dropped an interview with 110 Gang on YouTube but later got taken down for copyright issues. 2 months later in August Jourdan drops 2 more EP's (0utta Luck! and 13), with one being a birthday EP and 1 year after the release of his YOU MISSED! album. He began to rise back up even more with the release of his singles Push It featuring and produced by Tay Keith and REALEST featuring and produced by London On Da Track. Both songs accumulating about 500k total streams. Jourdan followed this up with a collaborative mixtape with his ex-110 member, M2kk titled Way 2 Official, which was a sequel to their 2021 Way Too Official. Jourdan then went on a hiatus to focus on mental health issues, then came back in October to release his debut album Childhood Hate along with a deluxe a week later, a 24 track album with 1 half sad songs, explaining the depression he's went through after a break up and 1 half being gangsta rap, with features from Zaybeezy, 110 Ent artist TRaww, Mellyx, and KBANDTANA. Jourdan stated that he would release new music every month, and after this he released I Swear To God in November and 99 Problems and Licorice in December.

2023-Present: Born a Beezy Baby

In January, Jourdan released the pre-EP for his upcoming album Born a Beezy Baby that is in the works, B4BABB with a feature from M2kk. Him and Zaybeezy announced that they were going to drop their highly anticipated single Bloody Mary on February 4. Then on Valentine's Day, Jourdan dropped Worth It!, which accumulated more streams to Jourdan and gained a Lunchbox cosign. On February 24, Jourdan announced his single With You that's dropping on March 3 and another mixtape titled Miya dropping March 17.

Music style

Jourdan had started making music using AutoTune influenced vocals. During 2019-2021 he was making melodic/aggressive music influenced by artists of Never Broke Again and mainly NoCap and Future. Jourdan always thought the style fitted him until he came across the new styles of Yeat and Jersey Club in 2022. Jourdan always goes back to back with genres of rap with different flows and styles of wordplay. His work often gets compared to SoFaygo, Ken Carson, and Summrs for his aggressive, melodic, and hype songs. With the amazing lyricism Jourdan has in his songs, all of his songs are freestyled and has no ghost writers. He’s mostly known for his aggressive, and rage work such as 99 Problems, Bloody Mary (With Zaybeezy), Worth It!, PICK UP DA PHONE (With TG), and UH UH UH. Jourdan's style has progressively gotten better such as going from gangsta rap to Pluggnb and upgrading his lyrics and style in flows.
