James Freeland better known by his online alias Jxmes[1] is a Scottish live streamer, YouTuber. Freeland is best known for his YouTube videos on Minecraft, Fortnite and Call of Duty [1] He is currently one of the fastest growing YouTubers in the UK after gaining over 100 thousand subscribers in a few months![2]
Personal life
Freeland grew up in a household in Edinburgh, Scotland, alongside his mother, father and little brother.[3]
He attended Newbattle High School in Scotland, dropping out in 2022 due to mental health problems, but he said it was one of his best decisions as it allowed him to go full time in content creation.[4]
YouTube career
Freeland started his current YouTube channel by uploading Warzone videos at the start of 2022 but then moved his content over to Minecraft where he creates Survival Let's Plays and Bedwars videos.[citation needed]
Freeland created his very first YouTube channel in February or March 2013.[citation needed] On this channel he said he would create Minecraft videos with his friends by stacking up 'Books' in front of his television and putting his father's webcam on top of the books to record his videos.[citation needed] He has said since then he has had two channels after that one but unfortunately all of his previous channels have been deleted, which he says he regrets.[citation needed]
Streaming career
Freeland began streaming live part-time on October 25, 2019. Streaming mainly Fortnite[5] as at the time he had a dream of going 'Pro' in Fortnite and mainly streamed himself competing in tournaments[4] but he didn't gain much of a following.[6]
Freeland now streams Minecraft content to his Twitch channel[3] and has over 117 paid subscribers with an all time high of 243[5]
