Kat Jackson (born June 27, 2000), known online as Katzun, is an American YouTuber, visual artist, speedpainter and animator. Jackson, on her YouTube channel, publishes animated music videos, "storytime" animations, and speed paints.[1][2]
Early life and Career[edit]
Kat Jackson was born on June 27, 2000. Jackson was heavily inspired by animator and cartoonist TheOdd1sOut when they joined YouTube, launching the Katzun YouTube channel.
Jackson later posted a video about coming out as a lesbian one month before National Coming Out Day, also discussing in the description:[1][3]
I know a lot of you already know that I'm gay, but I decided to make a video about it because I had a lot to say on the subject. I've had the misfortune of growing up in a homophobic area and I know a lot of you are in the same boat. I just wanna let you know that it IS going to get better, even if it doesn't seem like it in the moment. You're doing nothing wrong by loving who you want to love. Those idiots who call it a sin are the only people doing something wrong. Love y'all.
Jackson soon started producing animated music videos and animation memes. Katzun's Kloset is a second YouTube channel Jackson started, dedicated to publishing live-action/real life videos related to LGBTQ+ topics and stories. The most viewed video on the channel is a story about being gay in a religious school.
