Biography[edit]
Kent Mensah is a Ghanaian Online Journalist, Blogger, Editor and Media Consultant. He is currently the Online Editor of Starrfmonline Ghana, a multimedia company in Accra,Ghana owned by Ghana’s former Finance Minister, Kwabena Duffour. Kent joined the multimedia group in 2014.[1] He previously work at Goal.com Ghana as the Chief Editor[2][3][4][5]
Journalism career[edit]
Practicing as a journalist in Ghana over the last 15 years, Kent started as a cub reporter with the defunct Accra Daily Mail newspaper under the tutelage of veteran editor Haruna Attah, who is currently Ghana’s High Commissioner to Namibia. Right after Senior High School. After gaining hands-on experience, he decided to acquire formal training in Communication Science three years after at the University of Education, Winneba. In 2005, he decided to venture into the untapped aspect of journalism – Online. He had a scholarship to train at the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) in Berlin, Germany as an Online and Multimedia Journalist between 2005 and 2008. Since then, he have worked with Ghanadistricts.com (Online Editor), Joy FM (Deputy Online Editor), Africa News (Online Editor), Citi FM (Online Editor), Goal.com Ghana edition (Chief Editor, Ghana), Aljazeera Africa Desk[6] as Features writer and now with Starr FM as an acting Online Editor. He also attended several refresher courses in online journalism in Egypt, South Africa and in Ghana by Google and Thompson Reuters Foundation among others.

In August 2014, Kent joined the likes of Funny face, Patrick Ayimu, Bola Ray, Kafui Dey, Jon Germain, Nii Ayi Tagoe, DJ Blow, Dennis Mirpuri, Kwaku Obeng Adjei, Sammy Darko and Henry Twum Asante at Starr fm Ghana[7]
