Language Insight is a language translation and localisation services company. Language Insight's headquarters are in Preston, Lancashire.[1] The main services that Language Insight offers are transcription, translation, interpreting, subtitling and voice overs, and digital services such as multilingual search engine optimisation. The company was previously known as Transcription Global but re-branded in 2013 to become Language Insight.[2]

History[edit]

Language Insight was founded in 2009[2] by Donna Twose with the aim of reducing communication barriers between businesses worldwide.[3] Language Insight works with over 1000 linguists from all over the world covering than 100 languages. In 2013, Language Insight opened up an additional office in London to further assist their teams in Preston, this was then followed by a New York office opening[4] in 2017.[5] The company is a member of several associations within the translation industry such as the Association of Translation Companies[6] and the Globalization and Localization Association.[7] Language Insight is also a member of the Market Research Society[8] and the Association For Qualitative Research.

Awards and recognition[edit]

In 2019, Language Insight was awarded[9] The Queen's Award For Enterprise For International trade[10][11][12] due to their overseas growth[13][14] which has increased by over 200%[15] over the past three years.[16]

Language Insight have also been awarded three internationally-recognised ISO accreditations[17] for their services.[18] The company was awarded ISO 9001 for their Quality Management, ISO 27001[19] for their Information Security Management,[20] and ISO 17100[21] for their Translation Services Management.
