Law & Kenneth, founded in 2005, is India’s first independent advertising agency with a global footprint.[1]
The agency took shape when advertising professionals Praveen Kenneth and Andy Law took over St Luke’s operations.
The group now includes: Digital Law & Kenneth, Design Law & Kenneth and Ngage Law & Kenneth.
History
UK-based independent agency St. Luke's had begun operations in Asia Pacific in 2002, with Law as one of its founding partners. Kenneth quit Publicis India as one of its youngest CEOs to join St. Luke’s.[2]
In 2005, with investment from Bodyshop’s Anita Roddick, the duo took over St Luke’s India operations and on October 2, 2005, Law & Kenneth was born with its headquarters in London.[3]
Law & Kenneth, which had a single office with 25 clients and 60 employees in 2005, has now grown to a communications group with 4 offices and 290 employees servicing 32 clients. Currently, Law & Kenneth also has branches in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.
Campaigns
In August 2011, Law & Kenneth scripted the identity re-launch of Hero Motocorp, one of India’s largest two-wheeler companies, with ‘Hum mein hai Hero.’[4]
In December 2012, Digital Law & Kenneth launched the digital campaign for Idea Cellular’s Honey Bunny caller tune.[5]
In January 2013, Digital Law & Kenneth launched the Future Genius digital campaign for Parle-G, India’s largest biscuit maker.<ref</ref>
In June 2013, Law & Kenneth launched its campaign for Renault Pulse with Bollywood celebrity Anil Kapoor in the driver’s seat. This is the first time the French manufacturer has roped in a celebrity for its ad campaign.[5]
