Lee Ji-woo (Hangul: 이지우; born October 24, 2005), better known mononymously as Jiwoo (Hangul: 지우), is a South Korean singer, dancer and rapper. She is best known for being a member of the girl group tripleS and participating in the survival shows My Teenage Girl and Queendom Puzzle.
Early life[edit]
Lee Ji-woo was born on October 24, 2005, in South Korea. She grew up playing hockey and was a member of the Korean Junior hockey team 'Dreams Junior.' She graduated from Shindong Elementary School and Shindong Middle School and Apgujeong High School.
Career[edit]
Pre-debut[edit]
Jiwoo trained under SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment back in 2019. She made her acting debut in I:LOVE:DM starring as the lead role.[1]
2021–present: My Teenage Girl, tripleS[edit]
On May 31, 2021, Lee acted in the recruitment trailer for My Teenage Girl, and after, decided to join the show as a participant. [2] She finished in eighteenth place, unable to make it into the final round.
On June 1, 2022, Jiwoo was announced to be a member of tripleS as the third member.[3] On September 25, 2022, Ji-woo became a member of tripleS sub-unit +(KR)ystal Eyes. +(KR)ystal Eyes officially debuted on May 4, 2023.
tripleS officially debuted as 10 members on February 13, 2023 with the mini album ASSEMBLE. On May 18, 2023, Jiwoo was announced as a participant of the girl group project survival show Queendom Puzzle. [4] She was unfortunately eliminated on the final episode.
