Liane Keck (22), born 14 June 1999 with the birth name Jacqueline-Juliane Keck in Tuttlingen, Germany, is a singer-songwriter and pianist based in Mbombela, South Africa. Her debut extended playlist "LUXE" was released on the 3rd of July 2020 and was play-listed at UNISA Radio, Atlanta Radio Station and Radio Laeveld 100.5FM.

Liane Keck started off her year of 2021 with her new single "Just Know" produced by Lehandrobeatz and 808Slime. "Just Know"'s official music video shot by Blackscene Films premiered in February 2021. She released singles "Hopeless", "Emotionless" (an international collaboration) and the much anticipated "Nostalgic in his Benz" and performed at the Sister's with Voices event at Urban House in April 2021.

Her single "Nostalgic in his Benz" is currently airing on Tshwane FM & Radio Laeveld. Her latest collaboration with Kweziroyal titled "OCEAN FLOWS" is available for streaming on all digital music platforms.[1]

Career: Achievements and Events[edit]

She has a Channel O feature on a song titled “Do Ya Thang” with rappers Marz Emay and Daevxd. This music video was co-directed and co-edited by Liane Keck. Liane Keck has performed at several poetry open mic events and clubs around Pretoria and Johannesburg. Some of the highlights include performances in Hartbeespoort and in Sandton where she shared the stage with Emtee.[2]

Liane Keck’s music is mainly focused on genres like R&B, Pop and Hip-hop. Versatile as she is, she is not limited to these genres as she collaborates on projects including genres like House, Trap, Classical/Contemporary, Afro-pop and Dancehall. Liane Keck prefers to be present during the production and composition of her beats, mixing and mastering and any audio-visual productions, she believes that it is just as important to be behind the scenes as it is to be in the spotlight.[3]

She released her debut cover project titled “Cover to Cover” on the 31st of January 2020. This was her first official release. She later released her much anticipated EP titled "LUXE" followed by a music video for the song "The Best".

"LUXE" was playlisted on Radio Laeveld 100.5FM and the song "High Maintenance" made waves at Atlanta Radio Station later in 2020. To seal off 2020 Liane Keck directed another video for Marz Emay's "Make Ya Day" ft Larry SA with Blackscene Films and Popoh Films.

Liane Keck took a major leap in 2021 releasing a new single every month. Her January release titled "Just Know" produced by Lehandrobeatz had everyone in their feels followed by a music video in late February and another single release "Hopeless" in March. Liane was attacking the music industry with full force. Her much anticipated release titled "Nostalgic in his Benz" was released in April along with a collaboration with Kweziroyal titled "OCEAN FLOWS"​

Liane Keck performed at the Sister's with Voices event at Urban House mid-April and debuted her single "Nostalgic in his Benz" before it's release. This slow-burn RnB single playlisted on Radio Laeveld on its release and soon thereafter on Tshwane FM. She then collaborated with an Indonesian artist, Huda Karsa, and Montez from Ngodini to release "Emotionless", a relaxed piece filled with meaning and purpose.

Liane Keck resigned as CFO, Artist and PR Manager from her co-managed label "Black Boyz Entertainment" aka "BBE" in May 2021 and relocated to her hometown. Liane Keck is currently operating as an independent artist under her independent distribution and record label "Liane Keck Records".

We expect an Album release near the end of 2021 from Liane Keck in collaboration with local and international artists of note.

Early Life and Student Life[edit]

Childhood:[edit]

Born in Tuttlingen, Germany on the 14th of June 1999, Jacqueline-Juliane Keck, was born in the early hours of the morning at Klinikum Landkreis Krankenhaus on the 3rd floor. She is an only-child to her mother Nancy (Sandrino) Keck and the third child to her father Karl-Heinz Keck. Her mother is of Filipina origin and her father is of German-Swabian origin. Liane Keck spent her early-years of childhood in Germany until 2002. When Liane Keck turned two-and-a-half she moved to Nelspruit, South Africa with her parents. Liane Keck lived in close proximity to Rocky's Drift, White River in 2002 whilst house renovations took place at her residence in West Acres, Nelspruit. Her and her family later moved into their residence. When Liane Keck was 3 years old she was sent to a Jewish Kindergarten in Sonpark, Nelspruit where she learned how to speak English.

Primary school:[edit]

She then attended primary school at Laerskool Laeveld where she participated in extramural activities including choir, athletics and speech writing. Liane Keck had started taking singing lessons at the age of 6 where she started participating in Eisteddfod at the Civic Center in Nelspruit. She proceeded with this for 3 years and in 2008 started piano lessons. She later gave up her passion for music to pursue athletics.

Liane Keck started running for Laerskool Laeveld's Cross Country team in 2008 after winning her first Bronze Medal at their inter-house event. She started running as the B-athlete for the school covering the 2 kilometre and 4 kilometre race events until 2012 when she graduated from primary school. She also occasionally participated in athletics where she ran the 1200 meters. After winning a few silver and bronze medals, she finally won her first gold medal at an inter-house event in 2012.

High school:[edit]

Liane Keck attended Hoerskool Bergvlam in Nelspruit from 2013 and graduated from high-school in 2017. Liane Keck participated as her school's A-athlete for the 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m while she was a pupil there. She also ran the 100m, Relay and 3000m. She won the title of Victrix Ludorum 3 times in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Throughout the year Liane Keck participated in Cross Country running under ASA and participated in English Speaker Competitions. She performed at the school's talent-show in 2016 where she won the Most Versatile Talent and participated with the school choir in 2015. Liane Keck was part of the Student Executive Council in her Matric year as the Sport's Committee Chairperson. Liane Keck graduated high-school with 5 distinctions. She studied English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Mathematical Literacy, Life Orientation, Business Studies, Computer Applications Technology and Life Sciences under the CAPS curriculum.

Furthermore, Liane Keck decided to further her studies in Pretoria where she completed a 3 year degree in English and Communication (BA English and Communication) at The IIE Independent Institution of Education's Varsity College Pretoria Campus. She graduated with several distinctions in 2020.
