The show[edit]
Liguria selection is a musical talent show produced by the record and television company Maia by Verdiano Vera. The show was born in 2010, thanks to the organization of the social promotion association L'alveare. Each episode of Liguria Selection is set in a different Ligurian location, and through this tour of Liguria new music talents, residing in the area, are presented. Liguria Selection is considered the largest audiovisual representation of the musical resources available in Liguria which is aimed at songwriters, singers, interpreters and bands. Since 2011, seven editions have taken place, and at the end of each edition there is a final, in which a winner is proclaimed. Each winner receives a record contract with Hive Records and a 1000 euro scholarship. Liguria Selection was broadcast from 2011 to 2016 on the Teleliguria, Telegenova, 7 Gold and Odeon TV channels, and from 2019 it will also be broadcast on MusiconTv.[1][2][3][4][5]
