Linda Roper is a social media personality who creates videos on the popular social media app TikTok. Her social media name, "Grandma YoYo," – nearly two decades old – came when Roper had her first grandchild. Like many new grandmothers, she didn't want to be called "Grandma," so she was "YoYo." Eventually, "Grandma" got tacked on anyway. In October of 2018, Roper was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and was given only a few months to live. Roper created her first TikTok video in February of 2019. Currently, Roper has 1.1 million followers and is a verified TikTok user.[1]
