Lisa McGregor (born March 12, 1972, , Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian business woman, author, and the President/CEO of Whistler Naturals Skin Care Ltd. In January 2012, she co-founded the company with Christie Angeloni.
Early life[edit]
McGregor attended Chatelech Secondary in Sechelt, British Columbia. She also attended Aberdeen Elementary, in Kamloops, British Columbia, throughout her elementary school years.
Career[edit]
Lisa began her career at Douglas College where she trained as a legal secretary. However, over the years her career and education gradually took her into owning her own businesses, management/accounting in non-profit, wholesale/manufacturing, and the hospitality industry, including over 7 years as Accounting Manager at the Mountainside Lodge in Whistler, BC.[1] With over 15-years’ experience in bookkeeping and accounting management, Lisa achieved the 2005/2006 CGA BC Honours List [2] and is currently working towards her Bachelor of Commerce, major in Accounting, through Athabasca University and Thompson Rivers University. McGregor moved to Whistler from suburban Abbotsford, B.C., after her husband died suddenly from a heart attack in 2006. In 2012, she launched Whistler Naturals Skin Care Ltd. with friend Christie Angeloni, who had worked for Clinique.[3]
With a background in the natural health products industry, McGregor stated in a Vancouver Sun May 11, 2013,[4] Style Q&A article, “As I neared 40, it became more important to me that I could feel confident my skin care was working. There came a point where I just couldn’t find anything that I believed was effective and at a price point I was comfortable paying. My business partner, Christie Angeloni, who has experience in cosmetology, felt the same way.” [5]
McGregor has also written and had published short stories, and numerous article on health, beauty (hippydivas.com), and business including for Business in Vancouver (biv.com).[6]
