Little Alchemy is a 2010 multi-platform free-to-play browser video game created and developed and published by Jakub Koziol and Recloak Games[1] and generally released in December 8, 2010. The game introduces some certain elements to create items, objects and other elements.

Gameplay[edit]

In Little Alchemy, the player start with four elements: air, earth, fire and water. The player mixes these elements to achieve new items or elements. The maximum amount of items that can be found is 580 items, according to the last update. Each item has its own name labelled at the bottom of it.[2]

Achievements[edit]

The achievements in the Android version of Little Alchemy. The badges that are coloured means that it is already done. The other one that is grey means it is not completed yet.

There are achievements in Little Alchemy. To achieve them, the player must find a certain amount of elements. Once the player gets an achievement, a small message at the bottom of the screen pops up, congratulating the player for reaching the goal.

Release[edit]

The game was released on December 8, 2010, with Android versions releasing on June 22, 2012, and iOS versions releasing on July 19, 2012. As of August 17, 2017, the game is no longer updating anymore.

Reception[edit]

Script error: No such module "TV ratings". Little Alchemy mostly received positive reviews since then, praising its addictivity and puzzling gameplay. However, some people have complained of how challenging the game is, and how they had to achieve the items with hints taken from YouTube or from other applications.

The game was popularized on the social media platform TikTok, mainly by posting videos and making the requested items for users. Some challenges include users giving the person followers after he/she makes the item for them.
