MOORvision Network is an American technology and media services provider, and production company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. MOORvision Network was founded in 2019 by Ali-Han Ibragimov and Rashan Allen. Besides being an SVOD streaming service, MOORvision Network provides resources for filmmakers and actors to receive film and TV show job opportunities and casting calls, submit projects for funding and distribution opportunities, while also allowing creators to retain complete ownership and creative control over the final work, brand projects, invest in projects, and getting paid per stream for the performance of their licensed content.[1][2]

The name of the company is inspired by the Moors of Northwest Africa, African scholars that traveled to Europe in 711, spreading their knowledge, technologies, and innovations, while most other regions of the world were still elementary in these aspects.[1][3][4]

History[edit]

Ibragimov and Allen met each other and began working together in September 2017, in Los Angeles, California.[5]

MOORvision Network was officially launched on November 4th, 2019.[6][7][2][8]

On April 22, 2020, MOORvision Network released their first original feature film Bompton Had a Dream, which was written and directed by Allen, and produced and casted by Ibragimov.[9][10][6][11] The screenplay of the film is based on a NAACP ACT-SO award-winning play A Dream Deferred that Allen wrote in 2015.[6][12][13] Ibragimov and Allen secured a $45,000 investment for the picture and began pre-production and casting in fall 2018.[14][15][16]

On August 15, 2020, MOORvision Network has launched their own film festival, with three award categories: Best Independent Film Award, Best Actress Award & Best Actor Award.[17]
