The Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is located in Chhattisgarh state capital Raipur in India. It is an archaeological museum. It was built in 1875 by Mahant Raja Ghasi Das. In the year 1953, Rani Jyoti and her son Digvijay got this building rebuilt. Samples of weapons, ancient coins, sculptures and carvings have been displayed in this museum, as well as many exhibits displaying regional tribal tribal traditions have been kept here. In 1953, this museum building was inaugurated Republic of India. It was done by the blessings of the first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Presently, there are a total of 17279 antiquities and artistic materials in this museum, out of which 4324 materials are non-antiquities and the remaining 12955 are antiquities.[1]

Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is one of the 10 oldest museums in the country. The best part about this museum which will surely attract people who love architecture. It used to be a historic octagonal building using the traditional style of British architecture. The dome of this building resembles the crown of the British. Mahant Ghasidas Museum has two floors and five galleries. The museum also has a beautiful and quirky library and both of them are located in the same building.

The galleries contain many traditional 'Kalchuri' statues, ancient coins, carvings, 'inscriptions' and Buddhist bronzes as well as many ornaments and clothes, which were mostly used by the tribes of 'Chhattisgarh'. This museum is the place where you should get the right information about the history of the state and the history of the city and the lifestyle of the local people. His galleries are divided into different categories and each of these. The galleries display things related to the given name. The Archaeological Gallery displays many stone age arti-facts, while the Sculpture Gallery also exhibits beautifully carved sculptures of various gods and deities. Several other galleries of the museum are the Natural History Gallery, the Aboriginal Gallery, the Anthropology Gallery and the Ancient Arms and Armory Gallery.

Art lovers are also sure to enjoy their time as the Mahant Ghasidas Museum also displays magnificent arti-facts, paintings and crafts. They have put in a lot of effort to ensure that the history is well preserved and their efforts have paid off very well. The first floor of the museum displays objects that are related to nature, such as mammals, various types of birds and even snakes. The history of these species is beautifully displayed.
