History
History of Makrahi is approximately 500 years old. It was covered with thick forest (mainly dhak or plash trees). Actually, this village was resided by one Yadav family. After years, one of them, a prominent man named Bechu Yadav, was born. After some time, he was famous as a freedom fighter and was sent for *kale pani ki saja* by the British government. During this time, a jamidar, forefather of Kampala prasad singh (paliwal, later it is called pariwar thakur), from Rajesultanpur shifted to Makrahi along with a lot of manpower. A *banshaj* of Thakur also came with them and was called Baghel Thakur, and settled around him. Later this dynasty (banshaj) is called Baheliya, which is not correct. Baghel Thakur was very brave. Two mandirs, one of god Krishna and the other of goddess Ma Durga, were built by Kamla prasad singh. Two palaces were also built by them, which were surrounded by a strong fence.
