Margaret Keenan (Covid 19 Vaccine)
Margaret Keenan is a 91 year old British national who was the first person to receive the Covid 19 vaccine on 8 December 2020 at 6:31 a.m. GMT.[1] The vaccine was administered in the University Hospital Coventry managed by the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.[2]
The vaccine was developed in the year 2020 by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer in a record eight months.
Personal life[edit]
Keenan a retired jewellery store assistant, has lived in Coventry for more than 60 years and is originally from Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. She had been admitted in the hospital a few days before the jab.

T-shirt[edit]
Sales of the Christmas penguin T-shirt costing GBP 8 which was worn by Keenan whilst she received the vaccine raised £10,000 in just two days. This money will fund resources for hospital staff and patients and Christmas presents for those admitted over the festive period. Since the T-shirt's was featured along with her in front of the cameras, the hospital charity sales soared by 300%, with orders in from around the globe.[4]
