Mark Aslett is an English-American businessman. He became chairman, president and chief executive officer of Mercury Systems in 2007.

Life[edit]

Aslett was born about 1968, and worked at age 16 as a welder in Sunderland, England.[1] He received bachelor's degree in digital systems engineering from the University of Sunderland and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.[2]

His career began in software engineering at British Telecommunications.[3] Aslett worked at GEC Plessey Telecommunications, and other telecommunications-related technology firms. He held various positions with Marconi plc and affiliated companies, including president of Marconi Communications – North America in 1998. Aslett was president and chief executive officer of Enterasys Networks starting in 2003.

Aslett serves on the executive committee for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA)[4] and the Massachusetts High Technology Council (MHTC).[5]
